From helping Habitat for Humanity to partnering with Alma of Paulann’s Flowers and everything in between, SICI has raised over $1000 for the Bold and Worthy Bag campaign and have built a reputation as a leader in the community. Summer is upon us and we are turning up the heat. Over the last several months, Soroptimist International of Channel Islands has successfully engaged hundreds of members, generating an extraordinary impact on our local community (see the thermometer below!). As you read below, we encourage you to find your place in our diverse array of volunteer opportunities.
March 8 is International Women’s Day. Hear how Soroptimist International is honoring the day from the President of Soroptimist International, Bobbi Enderlin: “The theme for International Women’s Day 2024 is Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress. The UN recognizes that “Investing in women is a human rights imperative and cornerstone for building inclusive societies.” Every day, Soroptimists like you and I invest our time, resources and hearts into helping women and girls. International Women’s Day offers many opportunities to tell our stories and affirm why each of us is proud to invest in women. There’s the new Walk for Women , the International Women’s Day Tea Party and SIA’s parallel CSW event . So much is happening! As we work collectively toward our 2021-2031 Big Goal of investing in the dreams of half a million women and girls, it’s great to be able to celebrate our progress with these events.
