Litter Clean Up

Oxnard Beach Park

August 24, 2024

In August, our Service Ream met at Oxnard Beach Park to do some litter clean up. After a bit more than an hour, they were shocked at how much they had collected! Bags and bags!

Our team, Amanda, Gabriela, Maria and President Juliann, assisted other volunteers packing and handing out 1200 backpacks. Our "speciality" were the personal hygiene  inserts.

Bold & Worthy Bags

Our Bold and Worthy Bags are slated for the newest residents at the Coalition for Family Harmony’s shelter. They have experienced domestic violence, are referred by law agencies and arrive with only the clothes they are wearing. The Bags are member-made and include tooth and hair brushes, lip gloss, lotion, socks, nail clippers, scented candles, pens and journals. As an on-going club project, the list is planned to expand as the need is crucial.
